What is Adaptive Education?

Adaptive education in Texas ensures that all students, including those with disabilities, have the support they need to learn and succeed. It means teachers provide accommodations, modifications, and individualized instruction aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), so every student can access the curriculum at their level. The goal is to create an inclusive environment where all students can make progress and reach their potential.

Welcome Message

Hello! My name is Mrs. Meineke and I’m excited to introduce you to Secondary Adaptive Education. This is my 12th year working for Pettus ISD.

About Me

I was raised in Beeville, Texas and chose to raise my family here, too. I have been married to my husband, Terrence, for 32 years. We have two adult daughters, Kaliana and Eliza. I am excited that Eliza is studying at Texas A&M Univeristy-Corpus Christi and wants to pursue a career in Education. My daughter, Kaliana, lives in Chandler, Arizona. She gives us a reason to take a road trip each summer for four years now. I earned a Business Degree from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi but God had a different plan for me. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching television, and loving on my cats.
