Welcome Message
¡Hola! My name is Jesús Arredondo, and I’m excited to welcome you to my Spanish classes. I’ve been teaching and coaching for approximately 20 years across various fields. I enjoy teaching Spanish to both native Spanish speakers and non-Spanish speakers. Over the years, I can honestly say I enjoy teaching at Pettus I.S.D. because we have some of the most outstanding students with outstanding personalities.
About Me:
I was born and raised in Laredo, TX. I attended high school in Laredo and graduated in 1995. I continued my education at Laredo Community College and transferred to Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2004, where I earned my B.A. in Science and Spanish. While in Kingsville, I pursued my Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Administration. I began my teaching career at Kenedy I.S.D. in 2005 and have worked as a teacher and coach intermittently since then. Over the years, I have earned my EMT license and worked in various cities, both as a teacher and an EMT. Additionally, I earned an M.Ed. in Curriculum, Instruction, and Educational Leadership. I will also graduate in December 2025 with an M.Ed. in Special Education and Educational Leadership. In 2026, I plan to continue my education by earning a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies or pursuing a counseling program. I love teaching in the Brush Country and find the people in Pettus to be very respectful and outstanding.
Besides all this, I have two daughters; one is in heaven, and my youngest lives in San Antonio, TX. I have six grandchildren from both of my daughters, and I love my family. I also consider my friends to be my family.
