Welcome 

Hi! My name is Melisio Garcia. I am not only the Campus CTE/CCMR Cordinator, I am also a Career Technical Education (CTE) teacher here at Pettus ISD Secondary. CTE is my passion, and I love exposing students to the wonderful world of CTE.

About Me

I proudly served ten years in the United States Air Force as a Radiologic Technologist most of the time and a full time touring musician part of the time. I recieved a Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology while I was active duty and my Master’s in Education in 2016.

My past civilian professions have been, CT Technologist, Systems Admn,I maging Site Manager, Assistant Music DIrector for Air Force Entertainment, AWS Certified Welding Inspector, OSHA 30 Trainer, Adjunct Professor, Welding Instructor, CTE Director, Region 2 CTE Specialist, CTE Publishing Consultant, and Educator.

I live in the country with my wife and two amazing kids. My hobbies are learning something new, music , and horses. My philosophy in education is that you can accomplish anything you desire, just put in the time.

Classroom Information

 

* Major Grades Only: Reteach and retest will be offered. The highest grade of either the original assessment or the correct assigned will be taken but will not exceed a 70. Students will have five calendar days (including weekends and holidays) from the date the assignment was returned to the students to correct any failing grade. The student will be given one opportunity to correct a major assignment. 

* Refusal to complete an assignment within a given timeframe and any missing grades will be recorded as a zero with no opportunity for correction or makeup.
